This client came to us seeking help to build a steel sliding door in their Federation-style house to replace a heavy timber door that was starting to rot. They had already done considerable research and knew what they wanted, so it was up to us to execute their vision.

One of the biggest challenges we faced was the door size. The opening height of the old timber doors was not standard (it was too short). They had to cut into the house structure to raise the height.

The result is a slimline steel sliding door design that offers uninterrupted views from the living room to the entertaining outdoor area. The internal side has a handcrafted pull-bar handle, and the external side has a low-profile pull handle.

Aesthetically subtle with luxury finishes, the steel sliding door perfectly matches the monochromatic palette throughout the house. So thrilled was the client with the result they have come back to us with more projects.

We have been extremely impressed with Thomas and his colleagues. Their professionalism and expertise were evident throughout the whole project of producing and installing steel doors for us. The final price came in under the original quote and was value for money. I highly recommend MullumJoinery [now Legacy of the Antipodes].
