Our steel frame windows and doors add an unmistakable feature to any abode or commercial space. Sleek lines and expansive panes of glass provide minimal obstruction to surrounding views – no other joinery material compares.
Opening a steel door feels just like a new sports car. There is an instant sense of luxury the moment you pull the handle.

Established in Europe in 1906, RP Technik is a world leader in manufacturing highly technical steel joinery profiles. Since 2019, they have expanded into Australia to fill the need for high-performance products that stand up against extreme Australian weather conditions.
Head of our metal department and business partner, Thomas De Toni, has years of experience working with steel joinery profiles while living and working in Europe.
“I am so excited to have exclusive access to RP Technik as they are one of the world’s most sought-after steel joinery brands. Their wide range of products are a dream to work with and can be fabricated into a range of modern or heritage designs.“

Steel Door Design Options
Design flexibility
The strength of steel allows profiles to be the most robust product on the market. This makes for clean lines on expansive panes of glass.
Steel profiles are available in up to six-metre lengths in a single span and can be shaped for each unique project.

Layout Options
Projects include:
- sliding, sliding-stacked doors
- hinged, pivot and French doors
- hinged, sliding or fixed windows
- awnings
- greenhouses
- curtain walls and room partitions

Complete glazing enclosures

For all of our RP Technik projects, we use complete steel beading constructed with mitred corners and seamlessly finished welds for a solid and detailed finish. We don’t use riveted or aluminium systems for frame or beading construction.
Low Maintenance
All systems are finished in a three-step sandblasting process, zinc priming and powder-coating for maximum protection.
Powder coating has a warranty for up to 30 years, removing the need for regular maintenance painting.
The only cleaning required is on the glass to maintain shine and wet dusting over the framework and handles.
Profiles have options for environmental and safety barriers
Security
All our steel products are more than three times stronger than aluminium.
Selecting the correct RP Technik profile will provide a highly rated score against resistance to burglary, forced impact, sound and the environment.
RP Technik is certified according to OHSAS 18001 and ISO 9001 International Standards.
Weather and environment
Hot and cold
With innovative thermal barriers and options of double-glazing allowances and hermetic profiles, RP Technik steel doors and windows will reduce your energy bills in both summer and winter.
Steel inherently is less likely to expand or contract like aluminium. Adverse temperatures inevitably lead to joint cracking. It will also not bow nor twist as timber does in humid and dry weather. Steel remains stable throughout its enduring lifespan.
BAL Rated Steel Doors
Profiles can offer Flame Zone ratings for the Australian Bushfire Attack Rating Level (BAL FZ), providing the highest possible level of safety in a bushfire.
Learn more about this on NSW Rural Fire Service’s website or consult your architect.
Lead Times
If a product is not available to order from our distributor’s Australian warehouse, materials are directly imported from Germany.
Profiles are delivered in one of two ways depending on the size of each project: 3-metre lengths on air freight (faster) or 6-metre lengths on sea freight (slower).
For doors with single outer frames spanning between 3 and 6m, we will only use one length of the profile and never join smaller pieces together to maintain ultimate structural integrity. In this case, it is essential to use sea freight.
