Steel Plinths for Lismore Regional Gallery

Project Details

Ply and steel plinths for the refurbished Lismore Regional Gallery

Feature materials

Frame Steel
Powder coating White

In 2017, Lismore Regional Gallery, like hundreds of other properties in the region, was smashed by flooding caused by Tropical Cyclone Debbie. As one of the longest-running cultural organisations in the Northern Rivers, it was crucial to get this central hub back on its feet as quickly as possible.

The gallery asked us to contribute steel plinths to help get their exhibition space back up and running as part of their recovery process. They chose to give us this commission after seeing examples of our work. We ended up designing and manufacturing steel plinths to sit in all three axes to accommodate a variety of differently-sized items for display.

* The Lismore Regional Gallery has temporarily closed after further floods in the first quarter of 2022.
