A couple approached us to revamp their kitchen. With a chef in the mix and a particular interest in using low VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) and sustainable products, we had a clearly defined set of instructions to work with.
The build needed to have a commercial kitchen’s functionality with stainless steel benchtops, yet be inviting as a domestic kitchen. After researching various product standards and certifications, we settled on a warm and inviting mix of Hoop Pine, Ply and Silky Oak cabinetry.
The eco-friendly Australian Ply kitchen – sourced from responsibly managed forests with low formaldehyde emissions – is finished off with Blum hardware and stainless steel integrated sinks and benchtops, and rich teal green-tiled splashbacks. The result is a residential kitchen that is not only better for the planet and health but that sparkles with distinction.
