While we service clients right across Australia’s East Coast, we value contributing to community-based projects in Byron Shire, where we’re based.
One such example was a creative bicycle racks collaboration we embarked on with the Mullumbimby Chamber of Commerce, Byron Shire Council, and local artist and designer Suvira McDonald.
We acted as consultants before fabricating the bicycle racks with stainless steel. This material was chosen as a contemporary, durable and visually appealing material. One of our key challenges was assembling the multiple angles on the racks, with our team sanding off the weld joins for a smooth finish.
The bicycle racks’ design is inspired by Mullumbimby’s iconic Mount Chincogan and Tincogan mountains, with a capacity of up to four bikes per rack. They are spread out along the main streets of Mullumbimby and located in front of one of the township’s main arteries. The result is timeless and elegant bicycle racks imbued with local meaning.

“Manufacturing the bike racks for Mullumbimby’s community has been a great project to contribute to. The previous bike racks were beyond repair and these well-made replacements will serve the community for many years to come. We hope it encourages more people to get active and use bicycles as their preferred mode of transport.”
